So you want to train at home?

You may already be considering the advantages of being able to exercise at home at the gym.

If you are considering beginning an exercise program then research shows that you have a better chance of sticking with your program if you train at home

There are various reasons why somebody would want to train at home, and you may be scouring the web looking for you first gym equipment purchase. If I have read your mind well enough then I would say that you are looking for a treadmill? Or a multigym?

If you are relying on all of your results from your home gym then please look at the following considerations when choosing that item of home equipment

1. How much should I spend? Don’t buy on price alone. Would you have brain surgery with the cheapest surgeon? Well your health and fitness should be no different; every day gone by can never be reclaimed. (And tatty treadmills, like tatty brains have a very poor resale value.)

Second Hand Brains

No matter how rich you are, time cannot be bought and bad advice followed is the same as having time stolen from you. Think about that.

If you buy cheap nasty equipment it will feel cheap and nasty, and you will feel cheap and nasty after you use it. You will feel used and dirty and cheated! Terrible!!!

As I have mentioned many times before, you get what you pay for. Like the brain operation, this should be a very important purchase in your life; spend some time discussing it with a professional.

How much do you need? Well how seriously do you take your training and what do you want to achieve?

Good treadmills start at R10 000, (other cardio is cheaper). Treadmills with 15 year warranties on the frames and motors begin at around R16 000 and a top of the range Home unit just over R30 000
